A Hellish night on the South Side

For the first time tonight, Thursday, Nov. 8, the cask beer engines at Piper's Pub on East Carson Street on the South Side will be completely turned over to one brewer: Helltown Brewing Co. of Mount Pleasant, Westmoreland County.
Piper's will be pumping a firkin of Mischievous Brown Ale, one of Reaper’s Harvest rye ale, one of a new Extra Sinful Bitter, as well as one of Perverse Stout that's still being tweaked. Even Helltown’s Sean Gentry is taking Friday off from his day job so he can be there, so you can meet him, too.
And Piper’s Drew Topping says, “We will also be featuring our Sunday Supper: Fresh roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, whipped potatoes, Brussels sprouts and brown pan gravy. A treat for those who do not get to make it in on Sunday evenings.”
He says the next beer engine takeover will be in the spring, with real ales from Troegs.
