Here's what's dishing this week on the blogs we follow:
At Simply Romanesco, I baked a moist and smoky Maple Sweet Potato Cake made with extra sweet potatoes I had in the pantry from Thanksgiving. It was bold, beautiful and bursting with seasonal spices and flavors and... rum!
Michelle, the Brown Eyed Baker, made some delicate Almond Lace Cookies and homemade Peppermint Marshmallows. Plus, she offers several giveaways this month from gift cards to cookware and cookbooks.
Chef Chuck served us Macadamia Nut Cookies with Dark Chocolate on the Pittsburgh Hot Plate. Just in time for cookie season.
Culinary Cory had a major sugar rush making Devil Chocolate Chip Cookies and 30 dozen Minty Grinch Cookies in four days! Now that's cookie commitment.
And in Leah's Brazen Kitchen we learned that the bun finally came out of the oven in September. Congratulations Leah!
Finally, the girls from eatPGH enjoyed a delightful dinner at Conflict Kitchen's Cuban Paladar. The December Paladar will take place on Saturday, Dec. 8. Check it out!
See you here next week!
