What’s dishing on the blogs: Thanksgiving and seasonal choices

Written by Dana Cizmas on

Chocolate Tart

Here's what's dishing this week on the blogs we follow:

At Simply Romanesco, I'm changing things up this Thanksgiving and opting for a rich and luscious Chocolate Tart instead of the usual Pumpkin Pie. It pays to be different!

Michelle, the Brown Eyed Baker, offers us two out-of the-ordinary Thanksgiving treats: a gorgeous Pumpkin Roll and a bold Salted Caramel Apple Cheesecake Pie.

Chef Chuck serves us easy to make Holiday Spiced Rice Krispie Treats and seasonal Vegetarian Pumpkin Curry with Butternut Squash and Basil on the Pittsburgh Hot Plate.

Culinary Cory baked classic and delicious Pumpkin Muffins, and also tried some Cider Pickled Beets.

And Miriam Rubin made Split Pea and Vegetable Soup. Always a good option on a chilly fall night.

Finally, nationally ranked food bloggers Sara Wells and Kate Jones released their second cookbook, Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites. The authors of the popular Our Best Bites deliver mostly original recipes exclusive to this cookbook, not previously showcased on their daily blog, each beautifully photographed featuring fresh ingredients and holiday-specific dishes. It's worth checking it out!

See you here next week!
